Our AAHA-accredited hospital’s capabilities range from a full Idexx laboratory suite, digital whole body & dental radiology, ultrasound, companion animal physical rehabilitation therapy and a surgical suite with state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring equipment & endoscopy.

The University of Arizona’s University Animal Care department is in search of a Research
Specialist (Veterinary Technician). The incumbent will serve as a veterinary para-professional
for University Animal Care, report to the UAC Associate Director, and: 1) provide clinical and
nursing care for a variety of small and large lab animal species; 2) participate in surgeries,
anesthesia, and intensive and postoperative care; 3) provide support and coverage to all
Veterinary Service units (Clinical, Surgical, Farm Animal, Pathology) as needed; 4) maintain
standard operating procedures and training materials; 5) work with investigators and research
staff regarding the healthcare and management of lab animal species; and 6) work closely with
UAC veterinarians and veterinary para-professionals to ensure that adequate veterinary care is
