The purpose of SAVMA is to promote the interests of veterinary medicine and to advance the cause of public health and the welfare of veterinary science in the State of Arizona. SAVMA member benefits include:

SAVMA CE Preferred Rates
Many of SAVMA continuing education programs are open to the whole veterinary community, but only current SAVMA members enjoy preferred registration fees. Technicians who work for SAVMA members enjoy preferred rates at SAVMA's paraprofessional programs and veterinary medical programs that open to technicians.

Continuing Education Programs
SAVMA sponsors excellent CE programs throughout the year offering the opportunity to fulfill your CE requirements locally.

Client Referral Service
When the general public contacts SAVMA headquarters seeking a veterinarian, the name, address, and phone number of a SAVMA member in their area is provided. A membership directory of SAVMA members is also available to the public at www.savma.net.

Public Service/Awareness Programs/Pet Food Drive
SAVMA sponsors a number of public service and awareness programs, including the annual Pet Food Drive sponsored by the Southern Arizona Veterinary Education and Service Foundation, the Kellen Company, and the Tucson Community Food Bank.

Job Referral Bank
SAVMA operates a Job Referral Bank for use by its member veterinarians and those persons looking for a job in the veterinary medical profession.
