On January 26, 2018, the Governor signed SB1001, knows as the "2018 Arizona Opioid Epidemic Act." The new requirements related to veterinarians become effective on April 26, 2018.

On July 31, 2018 in Tempe, the AzVMA is going to sponsor 4 speakers offering 1.5 CE hours each to cover the new requirements.
